One of the big news stories of the day is that Toys R Us looks set to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in the United States, which comes as a huge shock seeing as though the big shopping season is not too long away. Black Friday usually kicks things off, which then leads up to the huge Christmas build up.

This story is still developing, but this has led to speculation – or hope for some – that there will be a Toys R Us Liquidation Sale in the UK before Christmas. However, The Metro suggests that these reports of bankruptcy looks set to only affect the US arm of the company, although we await to hear conformation of this.

The writing looks to have been on the wall for sometime now, as Toys R Us has struggled to shift its business model more towards online compared to its rivals.

While this may be bad news, there is also the other side of the coin you have to think of, and this is possible huge sales, and massive discounts if there were to be a Toys R Us Closing Down Sale.
